A new edition to TheChicGeek’s super stylish ‘FAUX BOIS’ collection is Lily of the Valley. While beautiful, the main attraction of Lily of the Valley plant is its hypnotic scent. From the fragrance alone, you can understand why Carl Fabergé created a famous facsimile in rock crystal.
Arguably the greatest scent of all the spring flowers, Lily of the Valley, convallaria majalis, is a woodland spring flowering plant with sweetly scented, pendant, bell-shaped white flowers and will fill your house with a truly addictive fragrance.
Its woodland roots (pun intended) are set off perfectly in TheChicGeek sourced vintage Moira 1950s pottery designed to look like wood. The Moira pottery works was situated approximately 5 miles from Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, although the village of Moira is just over the border in Leicestershire. It sadly closed in 1972. These are now collector’s items.
Perfect as a gift for yourself or others and the lily of the valley can be planted in the garden afterwards and will reappear every springtime, happily spreading.
All purchases include a heart shaped foam pad to protect furniture and surfaces from moisture.
